Track wideners

Why install wheel spacers?

Wheel spacers are accessories designed to increase a vehicle's track width, i.e., the distance between the wheels on the same axle. Sold in pairs, these aluminum spacers, usually drilled with several holes and hollowed out in the center, are placed between the rim and the hub.

Wheel spacers are used for a variety of reasons: to improve vehicle handling and stability, to allow for the installation of large brake kits , or to bring the wheels closer to the fenders for a more compact appearance. Wheel spacer converters are also available, allowing, for example, the installation of wheels with a different wheel spacing than the original ones.

Thinner spacers are often compatible with the original hardware, while thicker models require longer bolts. A distinction is made between single-bolt spacers (fixing only on the hub) and double-bolt spacers (fixing on both the hub and the rim).
